CBD FAQ

In short, the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a system in your body that signals our cells and bodies organs to communicate with each other. The communication between the different parts of your body creates a balance in your body known as Homeostasis. The ECS achieves this balance by regulating physical and emotional processes such as appetite, mood and memory. All mammals have an endocannabinoid system. This system can be found in almost every part of our bodies, especially in the nervous system and immune system. The endocannabinoid system consists of Endocannabinoids and Cannabinoid Receptors such as CB1 and CB2, among other things.

Endocannabinoids are a signaling molecule that are used by practically all cells in our body. Cannabinoid Receptors are the receivers of these endocannabinoid signals and are located mainly in the brain and throughout the body. When the Endocannabinoid System becomes out of balance then the result is a condition known as Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency (CECD). There are many health problems associated with CECD such as Arthritis, Depression, Fatigue, Inflammation, Pain and other mood disorders. CBD has the potential to help with many of these problems and health challenges.

CBD is short for Cannabidiol. Cannabidiol is a phytocannabinoid that is found in hemp and has been recognized as having potential health benefits for humans and animals. CBD is a non-psychoactive substance found in both Hemp and Cannabis. CBD will not get you high because it has no psychoactive effects. CBD that is derived from hemp is legal in all 50 states and is considered by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to be a dietary supplement not a medicine. You will not need any form of a Medical Card or Prescription to legally purchase the product in the USA. CBD that is derived from Hemp is virtually THC free, depending on the form of CBD. If you are looking for the benefits from cannabis without the high then CBD concentrates are for you.
Unfortunately, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) prohibits anyone who produces dietary supplements from making any claims about their product to treat or cure any health conditions or problems. Please do your research on the topic and see for yourself.
The CBD used in all of our products is extracted from hemp plants using solvent free CO2 extraction.

The Entourage Effect is essentially the result of 100’s of compounds contained in Full-Spectrum CBD working together to multiply the therapeutic benefits of each individual cannabinoid rather than just add to the potential benefits. This effect is only found in our Full-Spectrum CBD products because they contain all these extra compounds that the CBD Isolate products do not contain. These additional compounds contribute to the proper functioning of your endocannabinoid system. Some of the additional compounds found in our Full-Spectrum CBD products are Cannabidiol acid (CBDA), Cannabichromene (CBC), Cannabigerol (CBG), Cannabinol (CBN) and Cannabidivarin (CBDV) among many others.

Generally speaking, Hemp derived CBD is legal at the Federal level and should be legal in all 50 states in the United States. We suggest doing a little research on your own so you know exactly where your state stands on Hemp derived CBD products. Hemp derived CBD contains ZERO or a Non-Detectable amount of THC which make it non-intoxicating. Because of this CBD and the laws and legality surrounding CBD products are generally more relaxed than THC based products. Please do your research so you are as informed as possible before making any purchases.

Absolutely not! Our CBD products are produced from hemp grown in the United States and contains Zero and/or a Non-Detectable amount of THC and therefore you do not need to have a Medical Card or Prescription to buy our products.
CBD is CBD. It doesn’t matter the source that the CBD is extracted. Your body will not be able to differentiate if CBD was extracted from a Hemp plant or a high THC strain of Cannabis. Your body’s endocannabinoid system will treat CBD the same no matter where the CBD is sourced.
The hemp we use in all of our products, whether it is the CBD Isolate or the CBD Full-Spectrum, is all grown and harvested 100% in Colorado. Our CBD products are processed in a FDA approved facility using GMP manufacturing practices.
CBD oil is a combination of CBD extracts such as CBD Isolate or CBD Full Spectrum and a carrier oil such as coconut oil. Depending on the product you choose, our CBD oil can contain natural flavoring such as peppermint or cinnamon.
CBD Isolate is essentially the purest form of CBD. It contains only purified cannabidiol rather than the other cannabinoids found in Full-Spectrum CBD. CBD Isolate is essentially Full-Spectrum CBD that has all the compounds found in the Hemp plant removed such as the terpenes, flavonoids, and other compounds. This CBD Isolate has the trace amounts of THC removed, no flavors or odors and is the most pure form of CBD you can get. The result is a product that is a white, crystalline powder that is made up of 99.9% pure CBD. Anyone concerned about the Non-Detectable or Trace Amounts of THC found in Full-Spectrum CBD products should consider using CBD Isolate products.

One of the most important differences between Broad-Spectrum CBD and CBD Isolate is the amount of different compounds found in the products.

Broad-Spectrum CBD contains all the natural compounds found in the hemp plant such as terpenes, flavonoids and other cannabinoids. Broad-Spectrum CBD also contains 100’s of compounds such as essential amino acids, Omega-3 fatty acids, calcium, ketones, magnesium, iron, potassium, and vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, C, D and E, terpenes, chlorophyll and many trace minerals. All of these compounds working together in your body creates a synergistic effect known as the Entourage Effect. This essentially means that all of the compounds contained in Broad-Spectrum CBD work together and multiply the benefits rather than add to the benefits. With Broad-Spectrum CBD you are benefiting more from the entire hemp plant compounds because all the compounds are working together which increases the benefits. It is important to know that Broad-Spectrum has a flavor similar to grass and this might not be as appealing to some people who prefer a odorless and or flavorless version of the product, which would be the CBD Isolate.

CBD Isolate is essentially the purest form of CBD. It contains only purified cannabidiol rather than the other cannabinoids found in Broad-Spectrum CBD. CBD Isolate is essentially Broad-Spectrum CBD that has all the compounds found in the Hemp plant removed such as the terpenes, flavonoids, and other compounds. There is always a possibility of some side-effects from using any product, not just CBD products. Most people handle CBD just fine without any issues. If a person happens to take too much CBD they might expect to become lethargic and/or have diarrhea. Other side-effects from CBD use can include but have a very low probability of occurring are:

  • Changes in mood
  • Changes in appetite
  • Drowsiness
  • Dizziness
  • Dry mouth
  • Nausea
This all depends on the person, their body weight and their experience with CBD products. If you are new to CBD then we suggest starting with small doses and seeing how they affect you. If you are an experienced CBD user then you will probably know the exact dosage that your body needs. A good rule of thumb for dosages is to take the first 2 numbers of your body weight and multiple it by 2 and that will give you an approximate amount of CBD in Milligrams that your body requires. An example of this would be a 180 pound person would take 18 x 2 = 36. This formula suggests taking 36mg of CBD per day for a person 180 pounds. These are just suggestions. You know your body better than anyone else does.
Absolutely not! CBD is not toxic and there are very few side effects. CBD is also not an addictive prescription or illegal drug that could cause you to overdose. There are no known overdoses or deaths associated with using CBD. If you take too much CBD then you will most likely feel lethargic and/or have some diarrhea. If you are concerned with taking too much of a CBD product, start with a small dosage and go from there.
